CRISTIANISMO Y PLATONISMO. SEDUCCIÓN Y RECHAZO PABLO GARCÍA CASTILLO Universidad de Salamanca Las relaciones entre el cristianismo y el platonismo se desarrollan en un clima de seducción y rechazo. Mientras unos Padres de la Iglesia rechazan la cultura griega, otros ven en ella, especialmente en el platonismo, concep­ tos e ideas dignos de ser incorporados en el nuevo mensaje. El cristianismo se difunde en géneros literarios helénicos, como las Cartas , los Hechos , los Diálogos y los Proptrépticos. Pero la filosofía se enriquece con algunas ideas originales del nuevo mensaje cristiano, como el monoteísmo, el creacionismo, la providencia, el pecado y la redención, un nuevo sentido del tiempo y de la historia y un nuevo concepto del amor (agape), que supera la indigencia del eros griego. The relations between Christianity and Platonism are developed in an atmosphere of seduction and rejection. Some Church fathers rejected Greek culture, but others see it, especially Platonism, concepts and ideas worthy of being incorporated into the new message. Christianity spreads in Greek lite­ rary genres, such as Letters , Acts, Dialogues and Proptrepticus. But philosophy is enriched with some original ideas of the new Christian message as mono­ theism, creationism, providence, sin and redemption, a new sense of time and history and a new concept of love (< agape ), that exceeds the poverty of Greek eros.
