DIÁLOGO DE LA IGLESIA CON LA SOCIEDAD Y LA CULTURA ACTUALES M o d e sto B e rc ia n o Universidad de Oviedo RESUMEN: El diálogo con la cultura ha sido promovido por la constitu­ ción conciliar Gaudium et spes, sobre la Iglesia en el mundo actual y por los papas Pablo VI, Juan Pablo II y Benedicto XVI. En el presente artículo se hace ver que el diálogo de la Iglesia con las culturas es imprescindible, ya que el mensaje cristiano debe encarnarse en ellas, para llegar a todos los hombres. El cristianismo hizo esto desde los comienzos, sobre todo al encontrarse con la cultura griega. La cultura actual es particularmente problemática, a causa del relativismo, del ateísmo, de la carencia de valores, que han llevado a una des­ cristianización. La recristianización exigirá, además del diálogo, cambios impor­ tantes en las estructuras y organización de la Iglesia. DIALOGUE OF THE CHURCH WITH THE SOCIETY AND THE CULTURE SUMMARY: The Dialogue of the Church with the culture has been pro­ moted by the Constitution of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council Gaudium et Spes, dealing with the Church in the modem World, and by the Popes Paul VI, John Paul II and Benedict XVI. This article tries to show that the dialogue of the Church with the different cultures is completely indispensable because the Chistian message has to become incarnate in them in order to reach all the human beings. From the very beginning, Christianity did thus, specially when it met the Greek culture. The present culture is particularly problematic owing to the atheism, to the lack of values, that have led to the de-Christianization. Re- Christianization will demand, apart from the dialogue, important changes in the structures and in the organization of the Church.
