El Dios inimaginable nos obliga a imaginarlo, recurriendo a los nombres utilizados por el lenguaje humano para expresar aquello que conocemos y también lo que trasciende nuestra óptica de lo visible. Imitamos así la bella pedagogía de la Biblia: El nombre designa o define las cosas; la gloria es lo más divino de Dios, en la que él se manifiesta; por el rostro conocemos a las personas; el espíritu nos acerca al Espíritu, que es vida y dador de vida; la palabra, tanto la articulada como la operativa, revela los misterios que intenta expresar; el quehacer enigmático de Dios nos obliga a pensar en su sabiduría. La osadía de hacer imágenes de Dios , quebrantando su prohibición tajante de hacerlo, culmina los sucedáneos divinos presentados en este trabajo. Con profunda humildad, nos obligamos a pedir perdón al Inefable por haber intentado acercarnos a él, utilizando unos sucedáneos que nos han pare- cido dignos y respetables del que Es. We apply the term substitute to a reality that, having similar properties to another one, can be replaced. The unimaginable God forces us to imagine Him turning to the names used in the human language to express that what we know and also that what goes beyond of the visible reality. In this way, we imitate the beautiful pedagogy of the Bible. The name designates or defines things; glory is the most divine quality of God; we know the persons by their face; the word, the articulated as well as the operating, reveals the mysteries that tries to express; the mysterious work of God forces us to think in his wis- dom. The boldness to make images of God, breaking his banning in this matter, culminates the divine substitutes shown in this work. We feel obliged to beg for pardon to the Ineffable with deep humility for having attempted to get closer to Him using some substitutes which we thought honourable and respectable of the Supreme Being.
