En este proceso, entran en juego personas que, como sujetos de discernimiento, orienten la relación en torno a los contenidos adecuados, llevándolo a término en un clima adecuado. Aunque en Francisco de Asís no encontramos un sistema con estas características, sí una intensa actividad de discernimiento. Así, cuando Francisco habla de verda- dera obediencia en la EpMin , está indicando al ministro que ése es el objetivo que ha de perseguir: garantizar su identidad de hermano menor, actualizar su identificación con el Hijo de Dios y colocarlo en el culmen de la caridad. Por lo mismo, la fraternidad es vivida y expresada como el lugar teológico donde Dios revela a los hermanos la vocación a vivir el santo Evangelio, de donde se deduce que no son los hermanos a otorgarse unas pautas a seguir, sino el Espíritu del Señor y la particulares relaciones que provoca, es quien obra todo discernimiento en este ámbito privilegiado. La misericordia en el corazón de la EpMin permite la operación del discernimiento, y el santo la propone como la clave que interpreta y verifica el verdadero amor del hermano ministro. The spiritual discernment is nowadays one of the most urgent tasks that has its own rhythm starting from the memory of the facts, sifted by the intelli- gence moving the will and the freedom to act and to choose. In this process the persons, as subjects of discernment, take part and direct the relations towards suitable contents leading it to an adequate atmosphere.Although we don´t find in St. Francis of Assisi a system with such features, we do discover an intense activity of discernment. So when St. Francis of Assisi talks about the true obe- dience in the EpMin, he is showing the minister the way to pursue his objective, namely, to guarantee his identity of Friar Minor, update his identification with the Son of God and place him in the height of charity. For the same reason, brotherhood is lived and expressed as the theological place where God reveals the brothers the vocation to live the Holy Gospel.
