ABSTRACT The purpose of this article is the publication of eight hand-written letters of the Venerable Friar Ángel del Pas, the originals of which are held in the Secret Vatican Archive, in the section corresponding to the Sacred Congregation of Bishops and Clergy. This contribution is part of a wider bibliography on the problems relating to the Franciscan reform in Spain at the end of the 15 th century. This particular case, places us within the context of the reform which led in 1581 to the formation of the recollect province of Tarragona called “Santo Nombre de Jesús”. In the province, Ángel del Pas is first the custodian of Catalonia and later the provincial minister of the new province. The article is accompanied by a new appendix of documentation, which helps give a greater understanding of this topic. 1002 VINCENZO CRISCUOLO
