I SABEL O RELLANA Málaga ABSTRACT The contribution to ethics of Karl R. Popper, a topic inadequately studied, can help in understanding his philosophy of science. In fact, both are connected, as he himself showed in one of his works. However, Popper was not an expert in ethics, which means that his contribution has to be examined with this in mind. He was a man committed to his time, and the numerous statements which he made in areas such as the socio-political, the natural- scientific, educational, etc…merit special attention and are still of interest today. Despite all this, there are controversial aspects in his contribution which must be kept in mind.
