At Perpignan the seventh of October was a day of study and reflection on Les Clarisses en Roussillon, as programmed by the Commit– tee for Centennial VIII and the Departmental Archives of the Eastern Pyrenees. CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES In this VIII Centennial of the birth of St Clare, with the principal scope of studying Clare's life, spirituality and Order, the many small and large cultural centres attached to the Franciscan houses for dissemi– nating the spirit of St Francis, have been the venue of numerous sym– posia, conferences, artistic and literary exhibitions, which escape reporting because of their variety and numerousness.
