Franc. 64 [1994] 474-476) the "Scuola Superiore di Studi Medievali" of the Pontifical Athenaeum "Antonianum" organized on 13 May a symposium entitled Chiara d'Assisi tra storia, mistica e santita canonizzata, at which C. Leonardi, L. Gatto, E. Pasztor and A. Marini gave papers. The "Centro Francescano S. Maria in Castello" at Fara Sabina (Rieti) celebrated the Centennial VIII of St Clare on 19-20 May with a symposium entitled Chiara d'Assisi e la memoria di Francesco. The papers read were: M. Bartoli, 5. Damiano e la memoria di Francesco; J. Dalarun, Francesco, Chiara e le altre; M.P. Alberzoni, Chiara e il papato; A. Cocci, Chiara e i moi rapporti con l'Ordine dei Minari; A. Nguyen Van Si, 5. Chiara in 5. Bonaventura; A. Cacciotti, 5. Chiara mistica; L. Bartolini Salimbeni, La dif/usione de/le clarisse in Italia nel sec. XIII e i loro insediamenti; V. Pace, La Pala di 5. Chiara ad Assisi; B. Kurmann-Schwarz, L 'iconographie du vitrail de sainte Claire dans le choeur de l'ancienne abbatiale de Konigsfelden (vers 1340). The function concluded with the awarding of prizes to the winners of the competi– tion "S. Francesco d'Assisi '93". At the monastery of the Poor Clares of Lovere (Bergamo) the twenty-fourth of May was the Provincial Day in honour of Clare, as had been decided by the Capuchin Provincial Curia of Milan. Besides the religious functions, there were two conferences: M. Bartoli, Chiara, donna evangelica and Sister Veronica, Con Chiara, sore/la povera, collabo– ratori di Dia. Santa Chiara, san Bonaventura e la mistica medioevale dell'amore was the title of the Congress XLII organized on 4-5 June by the "Centro di Studi Bonaventuriani" of Bagnoregio (Viterbo).
